Order Processing Time
Orders are processed within 2 to 5 business days after payment confirmation. For custom-built or modified units, processing may extend up to 10 business days, depending on project specifications. Clients are notified promptly if longer lead times are expected.
Delivery Method
Our fleet includes self-loading lorries fitted with high-capacity cranes capable of precise delivery in a wide range of site conditions, including restricted access areas. Specialized crane vehicles are available for complex or challenging locations requiring extended reach or precision placement.
Deliveries are managed by trained operators who follow strict lifting plans and safety procedures to ensure proper positioning and site setup. Final leveling adjustments and access verifications are conducted on-site to ensure full operational readiness of the delivered unit.

Delivery times vary based on destination within South Africa. Once dispatch is confirmed, estimated times of arrival (ETA) are as follows:

Note: Deliveries to highly remote or difficult-to-access areas may require additional time. Clients are advised during order confirmation if additional scheduling considerations are necessary.
Delivery Requirements
Clients must ensure that the delivery site can accommodate the size and weight of the transport vehicle. Overhead obstructions, soft ground, weight restrictions, and access angles must be evaluated prior to delivery to prevent delays or additional costs. If special lifting or access equipment is required, arrangements can be made in advance at an additional cost.
Big Mex Trailers is not liable for any damage to underground infrastructure such as manholes, drain covers, or unreinforced surfaces encountered during delivery.
Click & Collect
Clients opting for self-collection must settle all outstanding payments prior to pickup. A scheduled appointment is required, and safety guidelines must be followed on-site. Collection is subject to a nominal collection coordination fee.
Delivery Support and Risk
Risk of loss or damage transfers to the client once the goods are delivered to the designated site or collected. Our drivers are equipped with digital devices to record pre-delivery and post-delivery condition reports for transparency.
For complex site installations involving multiple units or modular assemblies, a dedicated installation team and project manager will coordinate all lifting plans and risk assessments to ensure a safe and efficient setup.
Special Services
For severely restricted sites or specialized installation needs, mobile crane services and towable container solutions are available. Our transport division also offers external hire of vehicles by the hour or day; quotations are available upon request.
